WHY
In our globalised world with open web and mobile phone communication, for the first time ever, each individual has an equal chance at contributing to a better world. All that human beings need, except for love and water, are food, energy and clothing, which are all made by farmers. Food and water are scarce and are becoming the new gold to industrialized countries. The largest part of the worldwide agricultural chain is controlled by no more than 10 multinationals per individual food. These companies depend mainly on 3 things: sufficient soil and water worldwide, (contract) farmers to grow their products, and finally consumers buying their products. Access to soil and water should be regarded as our mutual public interest. Most of the available and suitable soil and water is however used by the big agribusiness. Over 70 % of the world´s poor live in rural areas, and mostly women work on these lands. Providing these rural women with sufficient financial means, scientific knowledge, rules and regulations, good seeds and infrastructure should be the main goal of governments. This can be done by means of so-called Public-Private Partnerships and by using the opportunities of International Cooperation 2.0 (Social Media, Crowdfunding, Co-creation, Patent/Knowledge Pools). In the industrialized part of our world women are often the ones that make the consumer decisions. Starting at the bottom of the pyramid, with help from the top (UN, Worldbank, FAO, governments, multinationals), and using our (new) consumer power, women worldwide should UNITE and heal the pyramid. |
Policy and Mission CERES Academy
We offer training and advice with a focus on entrepreneurship, independence, social inclusion, autonomy and balance. CERES Academy is an initiative of Stichting (Foundation) CERES. This Foundation is aimed at the crucial role of women in global food security and builds upon strong existing women networks. CERES is a strong European partner with a large network and a strong belief in interdependence (or "Ubuntu') We believe in Education, Public Private Partnership and (women) entrepreneurship for development. With development we mean illiteracy and immigration problems in The Netherlands and Europe and the development of emerging economies in Africa, to address food insecurity, climate change, migration and water scarcity. We believe that the difference between developed and underdeveloped lies in the chances that are offered by local circumstances and good education. We use African expertise to find African solutions for African challenges. We focus on Ethiopië, because of its development chances and food issues and the large number of Ethiopian and Eritrean refugees and migrants in Europe. We believe in Public Private Partnerships to address the current global problems. We know the expectations and interests of our stakeholders and we act in accordance with these, as much as possible, also because of our 'ANBI status'. Our stakeholders are: The agricultural sector: plays a keyrole in all global problems. Women account for 50 to 80 % of the work in this sector. Women take most of the consumer's decisions as well. Social enterprises and the public meso sector (ngos, libraries, schools) are the key to sustainable development. By supporting (women) entrepreneurs the problems can be addressed. We do this in a balanced manner with an eye for autonomy and interdependence. |

Beleid en missie CERES Academy
Wij bieden training en advies met een focus op ondernemerschap, onafhankelijkheid, sociale inclusie, autonomie en balans. CERES Academy is een initiatief van Stichting CERES. Deze stichting is gericht op de cruciale rol van vrouwen bij globale voedselzekerheid en bouwt voort op bestaande vrouwennetwerken. Stichting CERES is een sterke Europese partner met een groot netwerk en een diepgeworteld geloof in interdependentie (of "Ubuntu') Wij geloven in Educatie, Publiek Private Samenwerking en (vrouwelijk) ondernemerschap voor ontwikkeling. Met ontwikkeling bedoelen we laaggeletterdheid en immigratieproblemen in Nederland en Europa en de ontwikkeling van opkomende economieën in Afrika, om voedselonzekerheid, klimaatverandering, migratie en waterschaarste te adresseren. Wij geloven dat het verschil tussen ontwikkeld en onderontwikkeld ligt in de kansen die worden geboden door lokale omstandigheden en goede educatie. We gebruiken Afrikaanse expertise om Afrikaanse oplossingen te vinden voor Afrikaanse uitdagingen. Wij concentreren ons op Ethiopië, i.v.m. ontwikkelingskansen en voedselproblematiek aldaar en het grote aantal Ethiopische en Eritrese vluchtelingen en migranten in Europa. |
Wij geloven in Publiek Private Samenwerking ("PPS") om de huidige globale problemen te adresseren.
Wij kennen de verwachtingen en belangen van onze stakeholders. Daar handelen we zoveel mogelijk naar, ook gezien onze ANBI status. Onze stakeholders zijn: De agrarische sector: speelt een sleutelrol in alle globale problemen. Vrouwen nemen 50 tot 80 % van het werk in deze sector voor hun rekening. Vrouwen nemen ook veruit de meeste consumenten beslissingen. Sociale ondernemingen en de publieke meso sector (ngo's, bibliotheken, scholen) zijn de sleutel tot duurzame ontwikkeling. Door (vrouwelijke) ondernemers te ondersteunen kunnen de problemen worden geadresseerd. Dit doen wij op een gebalanceerde manier met oog voor autonomie en interdependentie. |

የስራ ፈጣሪ በመሆን፣ ራስን መቻል፣ ህብረተሰብ አቀፍ፣ ራስን ማስተዳደር እና ሚዛናዊነት ላይ ያተኮረ፤ ስልጠና እና ምክር እንሰጣለን፡፡ ሲኢአርኢኤስ አካዳሚ የሲኢአርኢኤስ ኢኒሼቲቭ (ፋውንዴሽን) ነው፡፡ ይሄ ፋውንዴሽን በአለማቀፍ የምግብ ደህንነት ላይ ሴቶች ያላቸው አስፈላጊ ሚና ላይ ትኩረቱን በማድረግ ጠንካራ ነባር የሴቶችን ግንኙነት የመገንባት አላማ አንግቦ የሚንቀሳቀስ ፋውንዴሽን ነው፡፡ ሲኢአርኢኤስ ሰፊ ኔትወርክ እና እርስ በርስ በመደጋገፍ (ወይም "ኡቡንቱ") ላይ ጠንካራ እምነት ያለው ጠንካራ አውሮፓዊ አጋር ነው፡፡ በትምህርት፣ በመንግስት፤ እንዲሁም በግል አጋርነት እና (በሴቶች) በልማትና ስራ ፈጣሪነት እናምናለን፡፡ ልማት ስንል በኔዘርላንድስ እና አውሮፖ መሐይምነትን እና የስደተኞችን ችግር ማስወገድ እና በአፍሪካ እየተነሱ ያሉ ኢኮኖሚያዊ ልማት፣አጋር በመሆን፤ የምግብ ደህንነት ችግርን፣ የአየር ንብረት፣ የስደተኞች እና የውሃ እጥረትን መፍታት ናቸው፡፡ ባደጉ እና በድሃ ሀገሮች መካከል ያለው ልዩነት በአካባቢ ሁኔታዎች በሚቀርቡ እድሎች ላይ እና ጥሩ የትምህርት እድሎች ይገለጻል፡፡ |
ለአፍሪካ ችግሮች አፍሪካዊ መፍትሄ ለመሻት የአፍሪካን ልምድ እንደ ግብአት እንጠቀማለን፡፡ በልማት ዕድሎች፤ የምግብ ችግሮች እና በአውሮፓ በሚገኙ ከፍተኛ ቁጥር ባላቸው ስደተኞች ምክንያት ትኩረታችንን በኢትዮጵያ ላይ አድርገናል፡፡ በአሁኑ ሰዐት እየተስተዋሉ ያሉ አለማቀፍዊ ችግሮች ላይ መፍትሄ ለማግኘት በመንግስት እና በግለሰቦች አጋርነት እናምናለን፡፡ የባለድርሻ አካላቶቻችንን ፍላጎት እና ጥያቄ እናውቃለን እንዲሁም እኛ ባለን የበጎ አድራጎት አላማ መሰረት እንቀሳቀሳለን፡፡
ባለድርሻ አካላቶቻችን፡- የግብርናው ዘርፍ፡ በሁሉም አለማቀፍ ችግሮች ላይ ቁልፍ ሚና ይጫወታል፡፡ በግብርናው ዘርፍ ላይ ሴቶች ከ50 እስከ 80% ተሳትፎ አላቸው፡፡ እንዲሁም ሴቶች አብዛኛውን ግዜ የገዢውን (የተጠቃሚዎችን) ውሳኔውችን ይወስናሉ፡፡ ማህበራዊ ድርጅቶች (ወይም በተለምዶ "ማይክሮ-ማክሮ ኢንተርፕረነሮች" ብለን እንደምንጠራቸው) እንዲሁም በህዝባዊ በጎ አድራጊ ዘርፍ የሚንቀሳቀሱ (መንግስታዊ ያልሆኑ ድርጅቶች፣ ቤተመፅሐፍቶች፣ ትምህርት ቤቶች) ለቀጣይ ልማት ቁልፍ ቦታ አላቸው፡፡ ሴት ስራ ፈጣሪዎችን በመደገፍ ችግሮች መፍትሄ ማግኘት ይቻላል፡፡ ይሄንን የምናደርገው ራስን ለማስተዳደደር እና እርስ በርስ በመደጋገፍ ላይ ትኩረታችንን በማድረግ ሚዛናዊነት ባለው ሁኔታ ነው፡፡ |
